We are pleased to announce
Celebrating the Life & Music of Fergus O’Farrell – Interference with Glen Hansard
Cork Opera House Cork – 2nd February 2017
Vicar Street Dublin – 5th February 2017
Interference will be playing two shows next February with Glen Hansard to celebrate the life and work of Fergus O’Farrell. Expect to hear tunes from all 30 years of the bands’ career along with some old familiar faces and some very special guests. Long time honorary interferer Glen will be taking main vocals for both shows. This promises to be an extraordinary couple of nights of music and musicianship to acknowledge one of Ireland’s most talented songwriters and his incredible band Interference performed by some of the people whose own careers Fergus greatly inspired and influenced.
All profits from both nights will go to two charities very important to us: Brú Columbanus – who provide a “home from home” accommodation for relatives of seriously ill patients in any of the Cork Hospitals and the Hospice, and the Respite Care Unit of Schull Community Hospital.
There may never be another talent quite like Ferg’s, “whichever way the wind blows…” these are two very special nights that are not to be missed.
The Sydney Opera House and its Major Partner Intel are honoured to present the soul-stirring acoustics of Irish troubadour Glen Hansard inside the spectacular heart and soul of the iconic venue.
As part of a new digital collaboration produced in the Intel Broadcast Studios, Nooks & Crannies is a unique live music series celebrating iconic architecture and artistic expression in unexpected and spectacular spaces inside Sydney Opera House.
Written during his time just across the way in The Rocks, Sydney ‘Stay The Road’ from 2015 release ‘Didn’t He Ramble’ feels right at home as the perfect ode to the hidden acoustic ceiling inside and above the iconic Concert Hall stage.
